Haiti - 2012 Olympics : The national athletics team is arrived in France
Wednesday, May 30, the national athletics team of Haiti, is arrived, in the Pas de Calais (France) to prepare for the London Olympics. It will stay there until its departure for the British capital. For nearly two months, the delegation of a dozen members (athletes and coaches) will tour the territory and enjoy high-quality facilities.

It will be in Calais until June 9, at Le Touquet from June 9 to 21, and Bruay and Olhain from June 21 to July 5, from 5 to July 15 to Liévin and Lens, from July 15 to 20 in Saint-Omer and to Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise from July 20 to 25.

Dominique Dupilet, President of the General Council, welcomed the Haitian athletes and sent to them his wishes of success. It also states that it is under the excellent relations which exist between the General Council and the French Athletics Federation, led by Bernard Amsalem, that Haitians have chosen the Pas-de-Calais to make their final adjustments before the Olympics

In athletics, Moïse Joseph (800 m), Marleine Wesh (400 m) Jeffrey Julmis (110 m/hurdles) and Samyr Laine (triple jump) are currently the only qualified. Four other Haitian hopes Jonathan Juin (400m/hurdles), Josué Louis (decathlon), Pascale Delaunay (triple jump) and Roody Monrose (100 m and 200 m) are still in the race of qualifications which ends July 15.
