The Prime Minister, while reiterating its commitment to work for the well-being of the population, by improving its living conditions, so that our countrymen no longer risk their lives aboard unseaworthy boats, promises that instructions will be passed to the competent authorities of the emigration and public health so that, upon arrival, the survivors of the sinking can receive the care required by their case. For his part, the President of the Republic, Michel Martelly, transmits "on behalf of the people and of Government of Haiti, its sincere condolences to the families and relatives of the victims of this tragedy [...]" while calling on the Haitian citizens to avoid placing themselves in danger by using illegal channels to go on foreign soil, the President of the Republic took the opportunity to reaffirm its firm determination to continue his struggle in favor of the improvement of living conditions of the Haitian people...
