The media library "Kay mizik la" (the house of music), launched in late July by the Foundation Jazz Haiti in partnership with Haiti musique and Caracoli, a projet funded to the tune of 5 million gourdes on 9 months by the European Union (EU), this project falls within the strategic framework of the EU of strengthening of the music sector in Haiti, presents its programming for the month of September 2012.

Management workshop :
Thursday 13 - Friday 14 and Saturday, September 15
Hours : 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Program : interventions varied on different aspects (accounting, promotional, technical, etc.). fall within the scope of management
Speakers : Mark Mulholland, Nick Stratton, Eddy Renaud and others to be confirmed
Number of places : 12 places on registration (in the office of Kay Mizik la)

Cinema / Conference :
Friday, September 21
Hours : 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Zach Niles will present his experience with the band Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars and will comment excerpts from his film. He will also evoke the project Lakou Mizik.
Free access to members of Ayiti Mizik and of Kay Mizik, (within the limits of available places)

Chita pale :

Hours : 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
You are invited to interact with various stakeholders around the theme of management and ask them all your questions, starting with this one: how to find a manager?

Music lessons :
Monday and Wednesday
Duration : Session of 3 month / 3 hours per week (from August 6 to October 31, 2012
Hours : Monday 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Program : Reading and writing music - basic chords - major rhythmic figures
Month 1 : Writing Music : The musical stave, clefs, notes, the silences, alterations
Month 2 : Writing rhythmic : Measuring, rhythm, triplets and duplets, movement, pause and breakpoint.
Month 3 : Tone : Tone and half-tones, intervals, major scale, triad (basic chords).
Number of places: 12

General conditions of participations :
The activities of KAY MIZIK LA are intended for music professionals and are free for the members of the association AYITI MIZIK update in their contribution for the year 2012-2013 [1.000 gourds membership/year] and entitles to training (subject to availability) and to all the services offered by "KAY MIZIK LA" : professional advice, access to library, conference, roundtable, cinema, chita pale.

The membership to "KAY MIZIK LA" costs 200 gourdes/year and entitles to the services : media library, conference, roundtable, film and chita pale.

For non-members of AYITI MIZIK, the trainings are paying
