Taking the defense of the Prime Minister, the Minister Théano asserted that the Prime Minister was not responsible for the situation "It is not the fault of Lamothe [...] In 6 months, the Head of Government is presented to Parliament 10 times more than the presence in Parliament of certain deputies of PRI." Regarding the disbursement of funds provided in the budget, he excluded any form of political discrimination, noting that 40 projects are currently running, whose 7 concern of constituencies of certain members of PRI, but that other projects are not properly formulated. Stating that "the Government did not intend to throw money out the window," he recalled, that it was in the interests of the decentralization, that the Government in consultation with the Parliament decided to invest 10 million gourdes in community projects, stating "This is not to the deputies to manage these funds." Moreover, without giving details, he announced the defection of 5 deputies of PRI, who would disagree with the methods used by their colleagues on Monday.

For his part, Me Kedler Augustin, Spokesperson of the Primature, who wants that in the future such a situation does not happen again, said that parliamentarians would be better to evaluate the Prime Minister on the basis of 5 priorities set out in its General Policy, stressing that it is in the interest of democracy, "to have of deputies who understand their parliamentary duties," describing the current parliamentary system of "unbalanced and irrational."

For his part, Joseph Guyler C. Delva, Secretary of State for Communication, considers that such actions are generating of conflicts and instabilities. Declaring to the attention of parliamentarians "After the yellow card [addressed to President Martelly], you'll give the red card ? Want to make a coup ?"

"If Théano say that we are of kamikaze, is that it is not informed," reacted the deputy Sadrac, President of PRI, "The act committed by the PRI is located in the struggle for democracy. This is not a single act," mentioning in reference a similar situation that occurred in the French Parliament in July 2012. Concerning the defections of memebrs of PRI, mentioned by the Minister Thénao, the Deputy stated that "even if there are defections, the PRI will continue to operate [...] we did what we had to do. The lesson is learned for the future. Never again a Prime Minister, will dare to not respond to a convening even if it comes from a minority group [...]"
