In this presentation, Gérald Oriol, Jr., Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities, has renewedthe will of his team to continue working for the welfare of these children with special needs, advocating for quantitative and qualitative related to their education, their family life, their means of transportation, and access to recreation, among others. In the presence of representatives of various organizations working for the protection and integration of disabled children in Haiti, children and residents of the Centre Zanmi Beni, the Secretary of State lamented that "people with disabilities are a special category with its own characteristics. Their disability is a social injury, that they feel in their body and their soul in their social environment [...]" adding, "but they assume and just waiting to be accepted [...] The struggle to integrate people with disabilities is the struggle against social exclusion and discrimination in all its forms," taking the opportunity to encourage all sectors to play their part in the struggle for an inclusive society. "Somewhere in the world, a boy hear he has no right to play because he can not walk and a little girl, she can not learn because she can not see. This boy deserves to play. And we all win when that little girl and all children can read, learn and participate in society," we can read n the sidelines of this report, in the words of Anthony Lake, Executive Director of UNICEF.
