Thursday, the airline, JetBlue Airways which continues to expand its services in Latin America and the Caribbean, has launched its daily flights to Port-au-Prince. The Toussaint Louverture International Airport (PAP) will be served once a day from the Airport John F. Kennedy International Airport New York (JFK) and twice a day from the airport to Fort Lauderdale - Hollywood International (FLL).

Ms. Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism, who welcomed the official of the Companyt to the diplomatic lounge of the Toussaint Louverture International Airport, praised the initiative of the airline to add Haiti among its destinations "Congratulations to JetBlue for deployment on the eve of the high season that opens and in which we put a lot of hope. Thank you to offer the Diaspora and to all potential visitors these new places every day from the United States. This is a boon on the eve of the inevitable festivities for more than one year, of holiday celebrations, including our National Carnival, which reserves many surprises for its 2014 edition."

For his part, Dave Barger, President and CEO of JetBlue declared "We see great opportunities with our new service to Port-au-Prince. We look forward to bringing competitive rates with our award-winning services in Haiti [...] With a third of our network serving the Caribbean and Latin America, we are very pleased to add this important destination for our network."

Port-au-Prince becomes the 82nd destination of JetBlue and its 24th destination internationally.

JetBlue schedule between New York (JFK) and Port-au-Prince (PAP) from December 5, 2013:

JFK to PAP : Departure - Arrival 06:30 a.m. -10:26 p.m.

PAP to JFK : Departure- Arrival 11:22 a.m. - 3:25 p.m.

FLL to PAP : Departure - Arrival 6:45-08:45 a.m. and 9:45 to 11:56 a.m.

PAP to FLL : Departure - Arrival 1:29-3:29 p.m. and 4:25-6:35 p.m.
