Haiti - Social : Contest Results, Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the Country
On Thursday, the Junior Chamber International Haiti (JCI-Haiti) in partnership with the Digicel honored the 10 most outstanding young of the country through the third edition of this contest. The ceremony was held at the Hotel Montana, in the presence of several men and business women and personalities of the political class.

Like Jean Paul Charles Coutard, designer of the first bus manufactured in Haiti, which was honored in the category "Scientific and/or technological development", recipients were selected based on their achievement in favor of country, in general or of their particular community. 10 categories were defined by the organizers. Over 100 young people had filed their applications to the jury which has retained only 10.

Jean Paul Charles Coutard was designated "Winner of Winners". Her file will be presented next year at the international competition of 10 Outstanding Young throughout the world led by the Global Office of JCI present in 119 countries.

National President of JCI Haiti, Jude Jean Jacques along with the winner of the winners, Jean Paul Charles Coutard

"Like the greats of our country, such as Jean Jacques Dessalines, Henri Christophe and Alexandre Pétion to name but a few, you are part of this family of young people aged 18 to 40 who excel in their field of activity and who embody the highest qualities of international youth," declared Jude Jean Jacques, the 2013 national President JCI-Haiti.

"By recognizing these young people, JCI Haiti encourages them to seek excellence and serve humanity" continued Jude Jean Jacques, while insisting on this initiative which according to him is the contribution of JCI in the formation of other leaders to create a better Haitian society.

The President of the Senate of the Republic Simon Dieuseul Desra promised to accompany the JCI Haiti in this quest that according to him, has all its importance because of the lack of models that characterize the Haitian society.
