Haiti - Diaspora : The Consul in Miami met Taxi drivers

Friday, the Consul General Francois Guillaume II, went to the Miami International Airport where he met Raymond François, President of the Association of Haitian Taxi Drivers in order to strengthen existing ties.

The Consul at the head of a consular delegation took the opportunity to meet with Haitian taxi drivers, "true ambassadors, who represent Haiti within the framework of their professional activities" as noted by the the Consul General and converse on their situation to better assist them and ensure them the full support of the administration Martelly-Lamothe. He took the opportunity to convey the warm greetings of President Martelly, who places a great value to their contribution to the diaspora and Haiti.

The meeting took place on the parking lot of taxis to the satisfaction of all. François Guillaume II, did not fail during this meeting to emphasize the commitment of the Government of Haiti, to contribute fully to the community. For his part, Raymond François, on behalf of the Association that he presides said he wished a future meeting with the Consulate and the Government of Haiti, to continue to strengthen ties.
