Haiti - Education : Meeting of the sectoral table

Tuesday, as part of Operational Plan 2010-2015, the Ministry of Education with its technical and financial partners have met. It was for this sectoral table of education to conduct the evaluation of their partnership, of actions taken to improve the exchange of information in order to obtain the necessary synergy and essential between the various actors involved and draw prospects of the Ministry for years future, while emphasizing the major projects of the Ministry.
For Denis Cadeau, the Director General of the Ministry, the meeting shows the commitment of the Ministry in the implementation of the Operational Plan, but also the reform of the education system "In accordance with the will of the government, the ministry continues to work to ensure the fairness and effectiveness of services to provide for a quality education and achieve true reform of the system," hoping that this sectoral table will have a positive impact on key government priorities contained in the Operational Plan: governance, universal education, training and development, and secondary education, higher education, special school , literacy, infrastructure and the use of new information technologies.
Vanneur Pierre, Minister of Education announced at this meeting, that after the Department of the West, the street children of the Northern Department will be supported in the education system.
