Haiti - Education : 240 ENS students joined the Haitian education system

Friday in Pétion-Ville, in the presence of Vanneur Pierre, Minister of National Education and Denis Cadea, the Director General of the Ministry, 240 students graduate of the École Normale Supérieure (ENS) were integrated provisionally in the Haitian education system.

These normaliens will be deployed in lycée and national schools in the 10 departments for a period [stage] of probation for one year. They will definitely integrate the system, after satisfying the requirements of this stage.

According to ministry officials, this decision is part of the 2010-2015 Operational Plan,

which advocates the reform of the education system, from preschool to higher education.

For the Minister Vanneur Pierre, who noted the poor quality of education, the contribution of everyone is necessary to achieve the objectives aimed at improving education in the classroom "There is a huge challenge to address. We want to ensure today that our children in high schools, national schools and colleges across the country are learning what they must to learn," calling the probationer to exercise responsibility.

Aware of the reality that these graduates will face Denis Cadeau has given them advice and promised the supervision of the Ministry and Departmental Directorates of Education (DDE) "You will put your knowledge at the benefit of the students [...] You will rescue the children, who thirst for education. I encourage you to fulfill this mission."
