Haiti - Economy : Inauguration of public market in Village Solidarité
Monday under the Community Development Participatory Project in Urban Areas (PRODEPUR), he Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) inaugurated the public market of Village Solidarité located on the Airport Road, zone Cité militaire and Simonds-Pelé.

This covered market with a capacity of 200 merchants including 7 platforms and tables for the sale of goods, also has a butcher of 42 m2, a municipal dispensary, warehouses, toilets, an administration, solar lighting and green space.

Realized through the Office of monetization of programs of development assistance (BMPAD), this new market has received funding of 4 million Gourdes from World Bank and the Caribbean Development Bank.



Wilson Jeudy, Mayor of Delmas, said he appreciated this modern market that reflects the dream image of Delmas "If we do development, you must learn to think big," added the mayor, who urged future occupants to keep clean and maintain this new infrastructure.

For her part, Ms. Cherrouk, Resident Representative PADF in Haiti, thanked all those who contributed to the success of this market and reiterated the commitment of the Foundation to continue to provide support to projects for improvement of living conditions of the people of Haiti.
