He asserts that despite this delay "The port will be ready by mid-2015 as expected [...]" and announced the resumption of work by two or three weeks stressing "We have already ordered trucks and tanks which should enter the country by the end of January to begin work on the shuttle between the Dominican Republic and Haiti [...] from March we will start to receive the first deliveries of natural gas [...]"

Recall that this project of the Haytrac Power and Gas S.A. and its partners will cost $123 million and will be completed in the next 36 months, it will create 159 direct jobs qualified and about 6,000 indirect jobs. The construction of the terminal, with an area of 75,000 m2 will significantly reduce environmental pollution, the use of charcoal and wi drop up to 28% the cost of gasoline in the local market.

The project will be implemented in two phases :

Phase I The construction of a storage terminal of 15,000 m3 fopr the importation of liquefied natural gas at the level of Cité Soleil and Morne à Cabrit, capacity that will be doubled later.

Phase II Construction of a pipeline to supply the industrial area of Port au Prince, in order to supply the plants and make them more productive in respect of the environment.
