Haiti - Politic : PM welcomes the election of offices of 2 Houses

Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe welcomes the election at the Chamber of Deputies and of Senate of the Republic https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10310-haiti-politic-jacques-stevenson-thimoleon-new-president-of-the-chamber-of-deputies.html These elections that took place during this week, is a victory for democracy and institutional stability, he says, wishing a frank collaboration with the legislature to continue to pursue his crusade against extreme poverty .

Moreover, the Prime Minister Lamothe renews once again its willingness to work with the various political blocs in Parliament to find lasting solutions to the concerns of the Haitian people and to accelerate the development of the country. So he invited the two chambers to pass new laws facilitating social progress, while increasing efforts to evacuate the laws pending in Parliament in particular, those relating to the National Fund for Education (FNE).

A few hours after his election to the presidency of the office of the Lower House, the deputy Jacques Stevenson Thimoléon, made an unexpected visit to the Primature at a time when was held the 25th Government Council. This courtesy visit of the new president, was much applauded by the Ministers, Secretaries of State and director generals present at the occasion.

Mr. Lamothe took advantage of this visit to greet and congratulate the renewal of the office of Grand Corps, chaired by the Honourable Senator, Simon Dieuseul Desras.

It was an opportunity for the Head of Government to reiterate the call for dialogue and national unity initiated by the head of state to find a consensus on the future of the Nation.

The Prime minister who urges the offices of both Houses to support government initiatives, promises to continue to work for the most vulnerable.
