Haiti - Politic : Progress of the Administration Reform and Civil Service
In late January, Uder Antoine, the General Coordinator of the Office of Management and Human Resources (OMRH), was the guest of the Advisory Board of the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB) whose was the first monthly meeting of the year 2014.

Accompanied by Antoine Verdier, Assistant General Coordinator and Wilfrid Bien-Aimé, Uder Antoine presented the progress of the reform of the Administration and Public Service from July 2012 to January 2014, and the outlook for the year, highlighting the strategy adopted for the advancement of the reform program aiming irreversible benefits.

He insisted on the necessary paradigm shift that puts accountability and service concept at the heart of managerial devices of public administration.

During this meeting, members of the Advisory Council of Civil Society (CONSOC), moderated by Rosny Desroches of the Civil Society Initiative (CSI), have expressed their appreciations of works of the administrative reform and their concerns about the sustainability of the institution, that they describe of significant in relation to the role that it plays so that we have an efficient administration able to meet the needs of our citizens.

For Ms. Suzy Castor of the Research Center and Economic and Social Development Learning (CRESFED), it is imperative to ensure to build on what exists and build on earlier efforts to avoid starting from scratch.

In addition Suzy Castor and Rosny Desroches, civil society was represented by Garry Jourdan of CRESFED, Marie Louise Russo of the Alliance for Risk Management and Business Continuity (AGERCA), Edouard Paultre of the Haitian Council of Non State Actors (CONHANE), Jean-Marie Raymond Noël of the State University of Haiti (UEH), Alex Roy of the Association of Haitian Economists (AEH), Myrlène Joanis of the Physiotherapy Clinic of Fonds des Nègres (CPFO), Henriot Nader of the Haitian Foundation for the Integral Development of Latin America and Caribbean (FONHDILAC), Ibraïme Gladimy of the olunteerism for Development of Haiti (VDH) and Lionel Rabel of the Haitian Association of Sanitary Engineering and Environmental Sciences (ADISH).
