Pre-Carnival activities in Gros Mornes

This Sunday, February 2 in Gros Mornes, as part of pre-carnival festivities, two walking band will be selected in this commune to participate to the carnival route during the three days fat, which will be held from 2 to 4 March 2014 in the city of Independence in Gonaïves

The Minister of Tourism meets hoteliers

Friday Shéphanie Balmir Villedouin, the Tourism Minister had a meeting with the hoteliers of the Côte des Arcadins about the packages to offer visitors, who will participate in the National Carnival 2014. Revelers will have the choice between several offers, this year, ion addition to the booths and rooms, offers shall include transportation and additional meals ȧ 2:00 am "We will take advantage also to promote several destinations : Gonaïves, Côte des Arcadins, North and Pétion-ville, [...]" said the Minister.

Meeting with designers and architects

Josette Darguste, the Acting Minister of Culture met with designers and architects responsible for the design and construction of allegorical floats for the National Carnival 2014.

The Tourism Information Office is ready for Carnival

Friday, as part of preparations for the organization of the Carnival, Ms. Dieudonne Luma Etienne, Regional Director North of the Tourism Ministry, met in Gonaïves the Departmental Delegate of Artibonite, Jean Michel Auguste in order to put at the service of revelers, an Info-Tourism Office in the premises of the Delegation of the department. Meeting with Choreographers for the parade

Josette Darguste had a working session with the choreographers of the National Theatre, to discuss various artistic sequences of the carnival route able to represent all the local color and the Haitian cultural diversity.
