This Tuesday, February 4th, the President Michel Martelly, accompanied by the First Lady, Sophia Martelly and of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Pierre Richard Casimir and Economy and Finance, Wilson Laleau, left the country to Washington DC, United States, as part of an official visit to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation existing between the two countries.

The President Martelly who will participate in the "National Prayer Breakfast" then will meet head-to-head Thursday at the White House with his U.S. counterpart, Barack Obama.

In addition, the President of Haiti, will meet U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and will attend a dinner at the Smithsonian Museum in the company of the highest political personalities, diplomatic, and of business world, as well as celebrities and media bosses.

In addition, the President of the Republic will be received on Capitol Hill where he will address the American senators and deputies.
