Haiti - Reconstruction : The FAES conducts site visits in Léogâne
Wednesday, as part of Support Programme for the Reconstruction of Léogâne (RELEO) a delegation of Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) conducted a follow-up visit of the various work in progress. The delegation visited the completion of works of the public square Anacaona. The completion of this square is a way to restore the city's previous life, ubt also to create a necessary leisure place to facilitate the development of the inhabitants of the city.
The delegation then went on the site of the Municipal Library Claire Heureuse, a project that is part of the development plan prepared by the Directorate General of the National Library of Haiti before ensuring the follow-up of the reconstruction of the National School of Guérin, built according to the standards of the Ministry of National Education.
Finally, FAES has ensured the progress of rehabilitation of the irrigation system of the area, a solution to the problem of silting of channels and the loss of irrigation water. The rehabilitation of this system will allow to improve irrigation performance of Momance-Madame Verguier.
