Haiti - Justice : Meeting between the Interministerial Committee on Human Rights and the CSPJ
Friday, within the framework of pproaches of the Interministerial Committee for Human Rights (CIDP) aimed at sit with the different sectors of national life, particularly those working in the field of human rights, the CIDP met, the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ).

This meeting was an opportunity for Marie Carmelle Rose Anne Auguste, the Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister, in charge of Human Right and the fight against extreme poverty to present the CIDP, its mission, responsibilities and the different ministries and agencies that compose it.

Discussions were held around the justice reform, of the ratification of international instruments in the fight against prolonged pretrial detention and the promotion of human rights, particularly economic, social and cultural rights. Issues relating to the Civil status, access to information, rural safety and security of the courts were also discussed.

Speaking of judicial reform, the Minister Auguste felt that the CSPJ had had an important role to play in this regard.

Established in May 2013, the CIDP,'s mission is to ensure the cohesion of government interventions for the gradual reduction of poverty and exclusion. It is responsible, within the Government, to strengthen and optimize the devices and mechanisms for coordinating activities related to the human rights.
