Haiti - Social : First day of Carnival, rainbow of colors and decibel... 03/03/2014 12:12:24 President Michel Martelly, Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism among others were visible on their respective stand. The Head of State took to the crowd to join the dancers. Invited by the Head of State, Prime Minister Lamothe in turn immersed in the crowd. "This is the first event of this size that is done in Gonaïves since 1804, date of independence," said President Martelly, convinced that the city will benefit greatly of the Carnival in economic terms. After the parade of walking bands it is the group Simbie of Gonaïves who is the first to appear under the cries of jubilation from the crowd. Upon the arrival of "Kreyol la" stands began "shaking" under a deluge of decibels, "Nou chamyon anko" sings upbeat T-Djo Zenny for the first day fat. "T-Vice" was on his way made singing and dancing crowd on the concrete and on the stands "Kolew pran, pa kolew pran" sang among others the band to Roberto. The group "K-zino" of Gonaïves made its debut with the slogan "Fe chema". Amid a sea of people, parade floats were resplendent of creativity, Queens and Kings triggered cheers into a riot of music, rhythms, dances, colors and fireworks.
