Haiti - Economy : Signing of a bilateral agreement on ICT

Patrick Attie, President of the Association for the Development of Information Technology and Communication of Haiti (AHTIC), accompanied by Claude Apaid, Secretary of AHTIC, signed a cooperation agreement with Rosario Sang President of the (Cámara de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación de la República Dominicana - Cámara TIC), which was accompanied by Jaime Angeles, secretary of that organization.
This agreement is designed after a needs assessment of the sector, to develop projects that will improve the quality of life of citizens of both nations, especially at the border. It also aims to initiate a helping relationship and of cooperation in the private sector for the promotion and development of the industry information technology and communication (ICT), in Haiti and in the Dominican Republic.
