Haiti - Social : 3rd Edition of the National Day of the Haitian Diaspora in Montreal

The 3rd edition of the Day of the Haitian Diaspora in Montreal, which will be held this year under the theme "The next generation of the Montreal Haitian diaspora a generation in motion !" will be held at Mc Cord Museum, located at 690 Sherbrooke Street West Montreal, Sunday, April 27, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Over 90,000 citizens of Haitian origin living in Montreal contribute to the development of the metropolis. According to the organizers of this event, the 3rd National Day of the Haitian diaspora, "will open a window on the future by foreground the second generation of Montrealers of Haitian origin. A talented new generation, proud of its origins and which deserves to be discovered."

For over 50 years, several generations of Haitianscontribute to enriching the Montreal's multicultural mosaic by sharing their cultural heritage. This day will highlight the cultural richness, economic strength, and the contribution of the Haitian diaspora to his home land.

"This day officially dedicated to the Haitian diaspora, aims to project in the host country the Haitian cultural values ​​and a positive image of the Haitian people. It is with enthusiasm, as well as other major North American cities, that we will celebrate this day. We are confident that it will be once again a great success," declared Jean David Prophète, the organizer of the event
