This Sunday March 9, the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, will meet in Caracas with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. This 24-hour visit, that aims to strengthen relations between Haiti and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, is part of the vision of the Administration Martelly and the Government Lamothe, to promote South-South cooperation, constitutes an important tool in the effort of national reconstruction.

On the agenda of the two men: the perpetuation of the Petrocaribe agreement in order to intensify social projects for the Haitian people and the strategy to implement to boost the economic zone Petrocaribe, an economic space for the development of productive sectors of member countries, through the establishment of production chains and fair trade.

Subsequently, Prime Minister Lamothe will travel to Chile Monday, March 10 to attend the ceremony of swearing of the new Chilean President, Michelle Bachelet, ceremony to be held Tuesday, March 11, in Santiago.

During his stay in Chile, Laurent Lamothe will take advantage to meet Sebastián Piñera, the outgoing President of Chile, before holding talks with the new President, Michelle Bachelet.
