Sunday in the framework of the implementation of the special intervention plan for the fight against poverty in Bernagousse, communal section of Pestel https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10586-haiti-reconstruction-government-intervention-plan-for-bernagousse.html , Rose Anne Auguste, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister, in charge of Human Rights and the Fight against Poverty Extreme, accompanied onsite by Norman Wiener, the Representative of Grand Anse, of vice delegate of Pacot, the Mayor of Pestel, Douinel Alcégaire and the Deputy Mayor Milot Bélance, led a monitoring mission. The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour (MAST) and the Office of the Minister responsible for the promotion of the peasantry, also participated in this mission.

The minister Rose Anne Auguste was also accompanied by a technician of the Secretariat of State for Vocational Training, whose mission was to identify a space for the construction of a professional center in Bernagousse.

Some 500 seed bean kits were distributed to 200 farmers and fishing kits to fishermen in the area, by the Office of the Minister responsible for the promotion of the peasantry.

Rikerdy ​​Frederick, the representative of MAST, for his part made ​​the identification of areas for the implementation of community restaurants in the communal section composed of 36 localities.

Recall that in the framework of the implementation of the special plan, the Government is also committed to meeting the water needs of the population. A technical mission is already scheduled to begin drilling artesian wells in the communal section.

Note that last week, a team of the Primature was on site to identify schools that are not yet part of the Universal Schooling Program Free and Compulsory (PSUGO).

Another delegation will travel this week to Bernagousse to proceed under the National Social Assistance Programme "Ede Pèp" to the payment of mothers beneficiaries of the cash transfer sub-component "Ti Manman Cheri" and also distributing emergency vouchers to the population.
