Haiti - Reconstruction : Project Model of 542 apartments for executives in the Public Service

This week, Wilson Laleau, Minister of Economy and Finance, attended the presentation of a modern housing project for executives of the Public Service by the Spanish firm "Estudio de Aquitectura Urbanisme y Tasación".

This project of 542 apartments will be built in Tabarre on 7 acres of land belonging to the State. The project will incorporate green spaces and gardens, recreation areas and sports, services of any kind (pharmacy, supermarket, nursery, schools...) will be conducted according to a financial arrangement involving local capital, with guarantees of the Haitian State.

During the presentation, the Minister Laleau, wanted to renew the will of President Michel Martelly to make this project a model of housing, focusing on better integration of Haitian families in well-appointed spaces. Aware of the financial difficulties of executives in public administration, these decent housing can be acquired cheaply.

Antonio Lopez Sanchez, the representative of the Spanish firm, said he was honored to put his expertise and that of his firm at the service of Administration Martelly and the Haitian society in general and said he wanted to share his experience with others Foreign firms interested in investing in Haiti.
