The Directorate of Local Authorities conducted during a mission in the South, two workshops under the guidance of a team of the Ministry of Interior and Territorial Communities (MICT) composed, among others of : Agronomist, Charles Pierre, Head of Mission; Olivier Solari, Technical Advisor of the Embassy of France to the Ministry; Wilson St-Juste, of the Evaluation and Monitoring Unit and Communication of MICT; Ulric Jean-François Training Institute of the South (IFOS), Technical accompanist of the Ministry in implementing this program, to the Embassy of France, to present to the town halls, the main lines of Intervention Program South (PISUD) and confirm the terms of reference for key positions, of 11 communes of the Department.

This intervention led by the MICT, aimed at strengthening the operational capacity of the Town Halls in human resources from recruitment and training of different executives

(without gender discrimination) for the post of Secretary General and Director General, Accountant-payer, tax Officer, Responsible for public facilities, Technician planner, Community worker (animator) and Administrative Assistant, to ensure better management of communes.

In addition, the Ministry, through this program, intends to oversee municipalities in improving a range of services to the public such as public markets, slaughterhouses, public squares, communal park, public beaches, playgrounds, cemeteries, wharves, street lighting, sociocultural animation centers, drinking water, green spaces (reserved areas), whose the population of the South will benefit greatly.
