During discussions between the Government and over 500 students, the Head of State showed itself open to new proposals. Among the main points covered: the possibility to choose between the subsidy of 18,000 gourdes and a "Laptop Option Plus" (+ 2000 Gourdes) ; the importance of the debit card and the impact of the subsidy on the academic results of the year 2012-2013.

Recall that for the academic year 2012-2013, more than 27,000 students have benefited from "Kore Etidyan" program, through 8 departments. For first quarter 2013-2014 more 29,000 are already enrolled, and 2,000 have chosen the project "Laptop Option Plus". At this meeting, several students have received their Laptop.

In his speech, the Head of State has pledged its full support to the increase in capacity of study and research of Haitian students and the process of modernization of education and stressed "The future of this country depends on you, the support you receive today from the Government of your country and what you do of it," convinced of the relevance of the aid granted to students on academic results .

Prime Minister Lamothe has welcomed this initiative and invited the students to support the Government's efforts to sustain this program.
