The outgoing Minister, Pierre Richard Casimir recalled that after nearly two years in this position he was committed to continue the major projects of modernization and revitalization of the Haitian diplomacy citing some of his actions, whose the signatures of twenty agreements, the organization of a half-dozen events, the strengthening of partnerships, creating four new embassies and of 5 new consulates, as well as the defense of the interests and rights of Haitian expatriates.

After having thanked Pierre Richard Casimir, Laurent Lamothe, held to promote the new Minister to blow his dynamism to the Haitian diplomacy, in order to be an example of competence and efficiency to change the living conditions of the population, emphasizing the importance of diplomacy in promoting values​​, wealth, dignity and especially in the protection of the sovereignty of the country, while preserving harmonious relationships with our partners in the international community, through the implementation of a new form of cooperation that emphasizes South-South cooperation and North-South cooperation.
