The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informes that following the Decree published March 20, 2014, by the President of Panama, Ricardo Martinelli, it was ordered the removal of Haiti, from the restrictive list of countries whose nationals need permission of National Security Council to obtain a visa.

This Decree, which also allows the integration of Haiti in the list of countries whose nationals require only a "visa estampada" will allow Haitians living in Panama to benefit from the regularization program called "Crisol de raza" whose cost is now of 1,772 U.S. dollars instead of 3,102 dollars previously required.

It is a victory of the new Haitian diplomacy, firmly focused on strengthening the anchor Caribbean and Latin American of Haiti.
