Haiti - Technology : Maarten Boute again CEO of Digicel Haiti
Digicel Group announced this week the return of Maarten Boute as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its subsidiary in Haiti, with immediate effect. He succeeds to Ms. Ineke Botter, who resigned for personal reasons.

Recall that Mr. Boute, who has held this position for three years, left this function in 2012, but remained in the company as a consultant, focusing on new sources of income for Digicel Haiti and development of value-added services, including the activities of TchoTcho Mobile and its investment in the finance company Boom.

"I am pleased to be back in the role of CEO for Digicel Haiti. Since 2012, I stayed in the country to work on new projects that I believe will contribute to the development of a better future for Haiti and I am looking forward undertake this new adventure [...]" declared Maarten Boute.

Régis Romero, CEO of Digicel Caribbean and Central America, declared "We welcome Maarten Boute for his return [...] Since its initial appointment to Digicel in 2009, Maarten has demonstrated his dedication and dynamism in what was sometimes difficult situations and we are proud to have him full-time once again aboard [...] We also thank Ms. Ineke [past President] for his hard work and dedication during the period spent with Digicel Haiti and we wish her the best in his future endeavors."
