Haiti - Reconstruction : Inauguration of a bridge over the river Courjolle (Arcahaie)
On Thursday, the President Michel Martelly, accompanied by Philippe Cinéas, State Secretary for Public Works, inaugurated a bridge over the Courjolle River in the town of Arcahaie (West), in order to facilitate traffic on the National Road #1.

Destroyed in October 2012, following the passage of Sandy, this bridge has a metallic structure of a range of 40 m, was rebuilt in less than 10 months at a cost of 1,009,977 U.S. dollars, by the Haitian government, with the support of the French Development Agency (AFD).

In his remarks for the occasion, the Head of State, thanked the various actors involved in the reconstruction of the bridge and urged the population of the area, as well as all users of the road, to protect the bridge .



President Martelly reiterated on this occasion, its willingness to continue to work with all his might "until the sun rises on the development of Haiti."
