Haiti - Politic : President Martelly will attend 2 summits in Mexico

Friday, as part of a preparatory visit of the official trip to Mexico of the Head of State of Haiti, Ambassador of the Republic of Haiti in Mexico, Guy Lamothe, went to Yucatán (State Southeast Mexico) to meet the State Governor Rolando Zapata Bello.

At this meeting, which was attended by Éric Rubio Barthell, Head of Office of the Governor, Garvey Jean-Pierre, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of Haiti in Mexico and Pierre Saint-Remy, the Director of Haiti presidential security, the Governor met with the Ambassador of Haiti of activities that Haitian President Michel Martelly, will conduct at Yucatán during his upcoming visit to Mexico to participate in the 6th Summit of the Association of Caribbean States to be held in Mexico City from 28 to 30 April and at III Mexico-Caribbean Community Summit (Caricom), to be held Tuesday, April 29 in Merida, Yucatan.

In his remarks for the occasion, Ambassador Guy Lamothe expressed gratitude to Zapata Bello for the hospitality of the Yucatán and wished success in the realization of these two international events, given the ideal conditions for security and social harmony in the State.
