Haiti - Economy : The Minister of Commerce sign 3 agreements with the private sector

Wednesday, Wilson Laleau, Minister of Commerce and Industry (MCI), in the context of strengthening the promotion and support of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) proceeded to the signing of three protocols with Didier Fils-Aimé, Presidents of the CCIH, Henri Bazin, President of the CCHA and Gaston Louis of the FED aimed at ensuring, according to the Minister a socially and geographically equitable economic growth.

Agreement with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Haiti (CCIH) :

This MOU includes the provision of equipment and office furniture, the organization of training sessions and implementation of Business Assistance Services (Services d’Aide aux Entreprises - SAE) of the Ministry at the departmental level in partnership with the Chambers of Commerce and Industry departmental.

Agreement with the Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration of Haiti (CCHA) :

In this agreement, the ministry is committed to provide its support to the institutional strengthening of the CCHA: strengthening the organizational structure of the General Secretariat of the Chamber, training for arbitrators, mediators, judges, of the legal and business community and the revision of regulations should contribute to improving the business environment.

Women in Democracy (FED) :

According to this agreement, the Ministry grants to FED, a subsidy of 1, 5 million Gourdes from the project to support internal trade and the promotion of local products. FED or its part undertakes to provide: support to artisans through a technical assistance (national and international) and a space for the exhibition of their products, to the artisans and producers' associations and entrepreneurs.
