On his Twitter account Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe indicated that the bilateral high-level meeting, scheduled for Thursday, was postponed [4th time ...] "By mutual agreement, the bilateral high-level dialogue with the Dominican Republic of May 8, has been postponed to a later date. Ministers of Haiti and the Dominican Republic will meet on May 8 to prepare the next meeting," without explaining the reasons for the delay to an unspecified date. However, according to Dominican source, the naturalization law still pending, could be the cause.

Nevertheless, several agreements should be signed today between the two countries except last minute change. Among others at 11:00 this morning in Santo Domingo, an agreement between the police forces of the two nations and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Port-au-Prince three agreements on areas of health, tourism and trade.
