Haiti - Justice : North Miami mayor suspended from duty

Following the arrest warrant issued Monday against Lucie Tondreau, Mayor of North Miami of Haitian origin, who was then traveling to Las Vegas, declared upon her return Monday evening "I think it's a huge mistake [...] I'm waiting to speak with my lawyer and tomorrow we'll find out exactly what it's all about." Shortly after 8:00 she went to the office of the FBI and was later seen with handcuffs.

Tuesday Lucie Tondreau, appeared briefly in court for his alleged role in a mortgage fraud that resulted in losses of approximately $ 8 million to lenders. She was released on bail [50,000 dollars] and will have to comply with a prohibition on leaving his home between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

Recall that the authorities had announced Monday that Ms. Tondreau and three others will have to face charges of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

Tuesday, shortly before 5:00 pm the Mayor of North Miami Lucie Tondreau was suspended from office by Gov. Rick Scott.
