Haiti - Politic : Towards the creation of the Administrative Information Centre

In a survey it commissioned, the Office of Management and Human Resources (OMRH) has received confirmation of the population, of the need to activate, in the second half of this year, the Administrative Information Centre (CRA).

Aware that users of public services are run by people who charge them a high price for some services because they do not have relevant information on places where are provided these services, OMRH proposes to remedy to this by creating the CRA, a true info-center where people can get by phone, internet or by visiting on site, all the information they need on various public services available at the Ministries and Agencies, as well as their costs.

Announced in late December 2013, https://www.haitilibre.com/article-10198-haiti-politique-reforme-de-l-etat-bilan-2013-et-perspectives-2014.html (in french) the OMRH, makes every effort to support the Haitian-Canadian firm Geninov to make very soon operational tjis Centre, which aims to improve transparency, provide quality services to the population, improving relations between citizens and the State, while contributing to the fight against corruption.

Learn more about the survey :

Conducted from January 13 to 24, 2014 in the metropolitan area, among 1,000 people from a non-uniform sampling, the survey found that 80% had very little information, at a time when they need a public service, like getting a tax identification number, a national identification card, a certificate of good conduct, a passport, driver's license, health card, etc...
