Haiti - Health : Inauguration of a new pavilion at the OFATMA
On Wednesday, the First Lady, Sophia Martelly, in the presence of Jean-Jacques Charles, Minister of Social Affairs, Dr. Florence Guillaume Duperval, the Minister of Public Health and Population, the President and Member of the Board of Social Security Bodies (CAOSS), some representatives of the deans of public and private faculties and some hospital representatives, inaugurated a new pavilion of 10 hospital rooms with 2 suites and 8 rooms for for nursing care staff, which will enable the Office of Labor Insurance, Maternity and Accident (OFATMA) to better fulfill its mission.

Dr. Rudolph St Albin, Director General of OFATMA, insisted on the involvement of the First Lady in the health records and took the opportunity to stress the importance of these works which give this establishment a place in the medical sector "First Lady, it is a great honor for us to welcome you to this place that we are trying to make each day more attractive, in order to receive our insured and uninsured patients in search of quality services provided by the this Hospital. Your visit is part of the efforts we are making to create a friendliness atmosphere and of serenity where all those who knock on our doors feel comfortable, especially as they are already familiar with our standard of care."



For her part, Sophia Martelly congratulated the Director General of the institution for his dynamism as well as its team, that does its better for perpetuate excellence in the quality of services offered to the population. She believes that these works are in line with the message of change advocated by the President of the Republic "Health remains a priority for the Administration of President Martelly and on my side, I will continue to support all positive steps in this direction."
