Haiti - NOTICE : Postponement of appointments to the U.S. Embassy in Port-au-Prince

In a statement, the Consular Section of the Embassy of the United States in Port-au-Prince informs the general public that following the announcement by the Haitian Government that Monday, July 28 and Tuesday, July 29 will be public holidays in honor of the Carnival des Fleurs, it has rescheduled nonimmigrant visa appointments for those dates.

"All those with confirmed appointments for July 28 and 29, 2014 should come on the following dates at the same hour previously scheduled :

Those with confirmed appointments for July 28 should come for their interviews on June 27.

Those with confirmed appointments for July 29 should come for their interviews on July 11.

The day of the interview, the visa applicants will have to bring your original confirmation page to the interview. If your situation is urgent and you are unable to come for your rescheduled appointment, please write PaPNIV@state.gov and explain the nature of your emergency.

IMPORTANT : the Consular Section will not admit anyone with appointments for July 28 and 29 other than at their new confirmed appointment time. Applicants who arrive at the Consular Section outside of their new appointment time without confirmation will not be admitted."
