Haiti - Education : Students suffering from Chikungunya will not lose their examination
Monday in press conference, 9 days before the beginning of the state examinations, Nesmy Manigat, the Minister of National Education accompanied by his Director General, Denis Cadeau provided an update including : on students suffering from Chikungunya, the payment of salary increases for teachers and payment of the amounts of the second and third tranche for schools in the program Universal Schooling Free and Compulsory (PSUGO).

About the epidemic of Chikungunya Denis Cadeau, indicated that the Ministry was aware that some students may be affected by this epidemic and assured that candidates affected by this epidemic will not lose their examination. Stating that on Tuesday, officials from the Ministry and the Commission responsible for the planning and organization of state examinations will adopt the decisions and actions for these candidates sick and all departmental directors of education will be informed.

Regarding the wage increase in the teaching staff, Nesmy Manigat announced that checks relating to salary increase for teachers are available and have started to be distributed from Friday, June 6, in all departmental directorates of education. Addressing the issue of state examinations, the Minister Nesmy Manigat reassured the population, including the candidates, that all measures have been taken to ensure the smooth running of exams. He also recalled the decision of the Ministry to establish a Commission consisting of thirty individuals working in the sector and outside the sector. his commission that will be installed this Thursday, June 12, will have as role not only to observe and analyze the state examinations, but also to make recommendations to improve the process from 2014-2015.

6th fundamental year from 17 to 18 June ;
9th fundamental year from 24 to 26 June ;
Exams for candidates of Normal Schools of Teachers (ENI), from 23 to 27 June ;
Baccalaureate first part (Bac 1) from 30 June to 3 July ;
Bac II and the New secondary from July 7 to 11 ;
Exams for candidates of Family Education Centres (CEF) from July 7 to 11 ;
Exams for candidates from Technical and Vocational Training Centres (FTP), from July 21 to August 8.
