In a statement the President of the Republic, Michel Martelly said he learned with dismay the serious accident occurred, Saturday, June 14, 2014, in Saint-Marc, causing 13 deaths and several injuries.

Accident involving the vehicle of Depuy of L’Estère, Jules Lionel Anélus, and a tap-tap carrying thirty passengers.

The Head of State, on behalf of the Government conveys its heartfelt condolences to the families and relatives of the victims of this terrible accident, which mourned the population of this region.

He takes advantage to wish a speedy recovery to the Deputy of L'Estère, Jules Lyonel Anélus, and all other injured.

The President of the Republic invites, once again, the road users to be cautious and respect the principles of traffic to avoid the repetition of such tragedies.
