Haiti - Elections : The conditions are not met for holding elections

Jean Claude Bajeux, the representative of the Ecumenical Centre for Human Rights within the co-ordinating Committee of the Forum Citizen for the Reform of Justice, believes that "the conditions are not met in Haiti to hold elections whether they are good or bad". He stressed that "most of the citizens in age to vote, do not have the national identification card to have access to the voting centers" emphasizing "the way, sometimes very long, that some voters will have to make to go in the voting centres".
Regarding the OAS-CARICOM electoral observer mission, for Jean Claude Bajeux it's not the observers who will ensure the conduct of good elections, but the courage of Councillors and the smooth running of the election administration.
