Haiti - Senegal : 160 Haitian students for the academic year
The Senegal is supporting the reconstruction of the elite in Haiti. Following the call launched by the president of the Republic, Me Abdoulaye Wade, in favor of the return of the Haitian populations to Africa, 160 future Haitian students were selected on 351 applicants. The new scholarship holder will be fully supported by Senegal, stressed the Minister.

The Cheikh Anta Diop universities of Dakar and Gaston Shepherd of Saint-Louis as of other structures of higher education will accommodate the Haitian students with the re-entry of October to continue their higher learning there.

"The selection of these students has been done rigorously, the minister said. Academics, police officers and gendarmes have been dispatched to the investigation of morality. Doctors are also associated with their selection", said Lamine Ba, Minister of foreign affairs and humanitarian at the office of President of the Republic.

Students will be greeted by President Abdoulaye Wade, wishing that the Senegal approach may be an example. "We will transfer the remaining applications for scholarships to the other African countries. We want that all Africa adheres to the momentum of solidarity" added the Minister.
