Haiti - Education : The Ministry warns fraudsters

The Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) is deeply concerned by the continuous fraud attempts, of certain school principals, who seek to enroll candidates for state examinations, outside the regulations.

The Ministry launches once again, a warning to all concerned reminding them that they will be punished by the MENFP and their files sent to Justice for appropriate action for forgery and use of forgery and attempted corruption.

The Ministry is surprised that despite the system put in place and information campaigns, again this year we count, 7,973 candidates unvalidated in Rhéto (6.04% of registered in Bac I) and 189 candidates in Philo (0.37% of registered in Bac II).

While recognizing a decrease compared to last year, or about 14,000 candidates had not been validated, the MENFP estimated that the number is still too high and invites all actors in society to play their role for the safeguarding of moral and republican values, especially in education.

The Ministry calls all education agents to "assume their responsibility in the construction of a Nation that respects the values and principles because no strong society can be built on fraud and corruption."
