Haiti - Elections : The CEP composed of a majority of men

The last 4 advisers to complete the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) will be sworn in this Friday, July 18, at 11:00 am, at the headquarters of the Court of Cassation, Route de Frères.

They are Léopold Fils Berlanger (Superior Council of the Judiciary - CSPJ, who refused to take the oath because of an incomplete CEP); Néhémy Joseph (Representative of the Parliament which had not sworn in the absence of Senate confirmation of its maintenance in CEP), Yolette Mengual (new advisor of CSPJ) and Max Mathurin (new adviser of Parliament).

Monday noon at the headquarters of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) in Petion-Ville, these four advisers will be installed.

In a note the CEP "wishes the frank welcome to the 4 members and thanked them already, firstly, to put their competence, commitment and dedication to the service of the Fatherland and secondly, to contribute to the consolidation of the fundamental institutions of the Republic."

After the oath, the full CEP will be composed of :

For the Legislative Power (Parliament - 0% woman) :

1.- Max Mathurin (newcomer that replaces Marie Clunie Dumay Miracles)

2.- Pierre Simon Georges

3.- Néhémy Joseph

For the Superior Council of the Judiciary (33% woman) :

4.- Applys Félix

5.- Yolette Mengual (new advisor that replaces Marie Carole Innocent Floreal Duclervil)

6.- Léopold Berlanger

For the Executive Power (66% women) :

7.- Gloria Margarette Girault Saint-Louis

8.- Jacqueline Patricia Chantale Raymond

9.- Frizto Canton
