Haiti - Politic : Maryse Narcisse designated candidate for the Presidency of Fanmi Lavalas

At the Assembly of candidates to the candidacy of Fanmi Lavalas, which coincided with the 61st anniversary of the former president Jean Bertrand Artistide, Maryse Narcisse coordinator of Fanmi Lavalas, which represents since 2004, the former President in exile in South Africa, was officially designated presidential candidate of Fanmi Lavalas. For his part, the Deputy Sinal Bertrand said he had no reserves on that nomination, noting that it is J-B Aristide who had selected the current Coordinator of the Executive Committee of Fanmi Lavalas.

Responding to this nomination, Senator Moïse Jean-Charles, whose relations with Fanmi Lavalas are tense for several months, partly because of his positions unauthorized on behalf of the party, said he was convinced that this is a choice imposed by the United States, a choice that former President Aristide could not refuse...

He states to distance himself and announced the upcoming creation of a new platform, which will bring together the main popular and political organizations of the Lavalas movement.
