The Head of Government stressed that "Carnival is the showcase of our culture, our art, our craft, our popular traditions, which intersect to create a spectacle of beauty and wonder. It is also and above all the attractive pole of tourism, one of the priority projects of the administration Martelly and Lamothe government towards social and economic recovery of our country." The Prime Minister, in his capacity as President of the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN), ensures the general public and in particular revelers that all safety measures have been taken for the smooth running of the Carnival.
