Haiti - Security : Drastic strengthening of security in the airport area

On Thursday, the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN), chaired by the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, decided to create a task force, bringing together the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ), the Departmental Directorate West (DDO), the Politour, the police station of the Airport and specialized units of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), whose mission and commitment is to strengthen security in the area of ​​the Toussaint Louverture International Airport.

This decision is part of the strengthening of security plan Metropolitan (PSM), whose the the implementation of the first phase concerning the strengthening of security, in the airport area, has already yielded significant results.

The Prime Minister reiterated the Government's commitment to continue to provide the PNH adequate means to enable it to curb insecurity and anticipate banditry acts of any kind they are.
