According to forecasts of the Economic Commission of the United Nations for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), at the end of this year, Haiti should see grow its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of 3.5% and rank 4th in the Top 5 countries with the best economic growth in 2014, of the 16 countries of the Caribbean.

At the head the Dominican Republic with 5%, followed by Guyana (4.5%), Suriname (4.4%), Haiti (3.5%) and the islands of St. Kitts and Nevis (3.1%).

Dominica (1.2%), Jamaica (1.2%) and Barbados (0.5%) close the ranking of 16 countries of the subregion.
