Monday, Admiral Siegfried Pared Pérez, the Dominican Minister of Defense, declared that the Dominican authorities were notified Sunday of the escape of 329 prisoners who escaped from the prison of Croix-des-Bouquets, with names and photos of the most dangerous, to prevent them from crossing the border.

Pared Pérez, indicated that the security situation along the border was reinforced in particular the border near near Croix-des-Bouquets "There is coordination with the Haitian authorities. This is a process in which the police, the
Dominican army and the Cesfront (Cuerpo Especializado de Seguridad Fronteriza), have increased their staff ; they have pictures of the main escaped the most dangerous, to prevent them from entering the Dominican-Haitian border."

Pared Pérez declared that avoiding the entry into the country of the prisoners is the most important for his country and assured that these escapees will not enter into Dominican territory

Should be noted that the number of escapees was known and circulated in the Dominican press before the information is made public to the people of Haiti, Monday by Godson Orélus, the Director General of the National Police of Haiti.
