Haiti - Economy : Installation of a grain mill, promise kept

Tuesday, following a promise made to the women of Cabaret, Marie Yanick Mézile, the Minister for Women and Women's Rights kept her word, by proceeding with the installation of a grain mill, worth 10,000 American dollars, in "Nan Rémy", a area of the communal section of Jean-Rabel in the department of Northwest.
With this mill "Women will no longer need to make dozens of kilometers to grind their grain. So that's one problem solved," declared the Minister in front of hundreds of women visibly satisfied. The Minister stressed that this donation fell within the framework of the will of the Administration Martelly and Lamothe government to improve the living conditions of women in the Northwest. She also offered 100,000 gourdes to build a shed to protect the mill.
Also during her visit, several thousand food kits were distributed to women in need.
