Haiti - Social : Martelly asks the population to be cautious...

On the occasion of the Assumption this August 15, the President of the Republic, Michel Martelly wishes a happy feast to the inhabitants of different cities of Haiti such as Port-au-Prince, Les Cayes, Petit-Goâve, Cap-Haitien as well as their visitors who celebrate their patron saint, Our Lady of the Assumption.

On behalf of the Government of Haiti, the Head of State asks to these population to be cautious (among others on the road), on this festive period. Notre Dame, one of the most popular patronal feasts in Haiti, in addition to its religious aspect, attracts many revelers from all strata from here and the diaspora. It is also the perfect time for the people of these regions to showcase their cultural and tourism potential.

In this time of celebration, the President of the Republic once again urges his countrymen to cultivate the spirit of unity and solidarity, while reiterating the commitment of the present administration to continue to work towards improving the living conditions of the Haitian people.
